Hi, I have seen quite a few livejournal pages with a custom banner at the top of the page. I was wondering if anyone could help me out with a method of inserting a banner onto my own page... html code and where to put it, so on and so forth.
Thank you in advance to anyone who can help.

How do you add a personalized banner/picture at the top of your livejournal page?
This livejournal page shows how to plave a banner on your page - just change the img src to be your picture URL (your picture would have to be hosted on sites like photobucket) and place the code at the top of your page HTML just after the BODY tag.

It's really just an image hyperlink centred and placed at the top of your page.
Once you've done this and are happy , you may wish to consider what to do with affiliates - you may wish other websites to use a clickable banner of yours in exchange for doing the same with their banner. In that case you would modify the hyperlink to be your webpage rather than livejournal's and also supply a textbox for affiliates to cut and paste your banner code. That is also not difficuly - a textarea with your banner HTML.
