How does livejournal work, it's really different from facebook or myspace or xanga?

The setup is different. I hear a lot of Supernatural fans hang out there, but I can't get the hang of it.

you are right that LJ is different than myspace and facebook. Those are more social, whereas livejournal IS social, but that isn't it's main purpose.





Livejournal is more of a journal, where you keep thoughts and such. If you are looking for people to connect to, do an interest search. Then you can find journals of people interested in that topic.
Reply:LiveJournal is more of a blog, rather than a social network site like Facebook and Myspace. Livejournal is more for blogging than anything else. The differences are large, but if you play around with it long enough, it makes perfect sense. Livejournal does not allow for as much editing of code than Myspace, so really the layouts should be a bit more universal.
