How can i take off the advertisements on livejournal?

i noticed that some people dont show advertisements and i really dont like them so how can i get rid of them. and how can i put my own pictures on a banner. and where do i put the codes?Help please. Thank you

Well one easy way to remove ads is to install the Firefox browser, (if you haven't already) and install the "AdBlock" extension. It automatically blocks any ads on the page.
Reply:Well I'm not sure about the making your own banner part, but I know that the only way to get rid of the ads on your livejournal is to have a paid account. It's $25 a year (19.95 with automated payments) and I highly recommend it. Not only do you get rid of the ads but you get to have more user icons, and other cool perks!
